God,
I can’t stop thinking about the song by Bishop Paul Morton: “Help me to see me.” It’s my prayer for tonight. It’s singing in my heart. What do you see in me that I don’t? I see the worse sometimes but I want to see the best.
We are given a life to make a difference in order to change a dark and cold world. I want to travel; see the world, speak at conventions, graduations and universities. In order to inspire individuals opening their minds, penetrating their hearts so that they may live a life of purpose. I want to enforce and change policy; that speaks for communities, parents, youth (foster youth) and inner cities. I want to be a lawyer and eventually to become the Commissioner for the Department of Children and Families. I want people to know that they have a purpose, bring families together and heal the broken hearts.
That is all.
Domenia D.
