    Topic Thought.

Blaise Pascal argued that “if you don’t know whether to believe in God, you should go ahead and do so — just to be safe.”

Faith is important during my walk on this earth. I cannot say that God is not real. I believe that God is just as alive, as real as me  writing this blog. Faith, yes is comforting. Even when my world is chaotic. It’s not only God that I believe it’s Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

Pastor Paula White stated that we are “spiritual being have a humanistic experience”

I believe that living in different homes, residential(s), group homes and shelters, that my faith has kept me alive, and not drowning in depression and hatred.

Depression, anger, guilt, and uncertainty sets in. However, faith is reassurance. Life is not meant to be flowers and stars in the sky. I don’t know why? I am not sure why some people are born with great families, and others are raped, abused, neglected and tortured. I am not sure, and I can’t explain it.

I say that God has a plan. I as a human being question why would God allow chaos to roam, and hurt to be prevalent. I then think of Jesus, the son of God, who did not have an easy life. At that point I realize that I am not exempt.

When I make to heaven I will ask for a detailed information. As for now I’ll just accept it. I will follow the commands given to Adam and Eve to my best ability.

I am a spiritual being having a humanistic experience. -Pastor Paula White.

    Truth & Foster Care

My grandmother says, “tomorrow is not promised, therefore, take advantage of today and worry not about tomorrow.”

Matthew 6:25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry  about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. (34)  Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Foster care will teach you not to expect anything for tomorrow! That bed, that you lay in tonight, may not be where you lay your head down tomorrow. You are never too get accustomed to one home, one set of parents; for tomorrow, your social worker will ring the door bell, and you will move; move yet again.

At the age of 13, living in a psych ward, I had experienced 4 different social workers. One for almost every day of the work week. Those who make choices, telling you, your next move, one day is here, and, another day is gone.

The inconsistency of tomorrow. My grandmother, is correct, “tomorrow is not promised.” Tomorrow will never stay they same as today. Depending on your location, foster parents, residential/group home staff, this maybe a good thing or a bad thing!

Jesus said “do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.” At the beginning of me journey in foster care, I did begin to worry. It consumed me! Will my mother be in court? Or, will the judge rule; saying “I put my trust in our legal system, and, grant custody over too, Connecticut’s Foster Care System.”

By the age of 10, I was traveling from home to home, and group home to group home. With a garbage bag, a bag that held all my clothes. My journey for the next 12 years and counting.

    Inconsistency of tomorrow.

As time consumed me, and stability was a figure of my imagination. I finally said “fuck it, and, to hell with tomorrow.” At the age of 20, the inconsistency of tomorrow, has been my drive, to attempt to create a better today.

The traveling and journey, makes it all better to attend college 10 states over. To travel is in my blood. I can no longer worry about tomorrow. For tomorrow has always taken care of itself. Will I eat tonight? Will I sleep on the street? Will this pay check make it to next week? These questions I ask, with every move! Tomorrow takes care of its self.

As long, as I make it! Who cares about tomorrow, for it has always been inconsistent.
